UAS lifts title in Westcon-Gigamon Mobile Legends tournament

The Mobile Legends phenomenon is here to stay and, in a time where social distancing is highly encouraged, it is a game that brings friends, officemates, and teams together in a digital land.

Westcon and Gigamon opened their doors for their first-ever Mobile Legends Tournament and UAS was lucky enough to send in two teams into the main round of the competition. UAS Pasig and UAS Clark had their own teams and were in the last-16 of the competition.

While UAS Pasig put on a valiant effort but could not move on further in the competition. However, UAS Clark seemingly breezed through with their incredible game plans and cohesive strategies. They notched win after win until they were in the finals where they faced off against another strong competitor in Team Nexus.

The Finals, which was live-streamed in Westcon Philippines’ Facebook page, was a best of three and the entire UAS family was engaged and were looking for UAS Clark to draw first blood. However, it was not the case as Team Nexus blitzed UAS Clark to a dominating first match win to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Undeterred, UAS Clark regrouped and took the second match in nail-biting fashion to tie the series. The third match would determine the champion and UAS Clark seemed to have their confidence back as they dominated the game to pull out the victory and bring home the championship.

It was an incredible event from the sponsors, with so many other small awards given away – with UAS nearly sweeping it all. In the next competition, expect UAS Clark to defend the crown.
