Job Summary
Field Technicians (FTs) are responsible for performing hardware acceptance testing (HAT), physical installation of devices/equipment (mounting/rack and stack), replacement of defective hardware, and performing physical inspection and cleaning of customer’s equipment for regular preventive maintenance.

Field Technicians (FTs) will mostly do routinary tasks for every hardware or equipment provided by the company to its customers. This equipment is either new or existing for a customer. For new equipment, FTs need to perform the following:
- Hardware Acceptance Testing (HAT) – this is to check if the received equipment (and its components) is working and with complete inventory based on the receiving report from the procurement team
- Physical Installation – this is to install or mount the equipment on customer’s data center rack
For existing equipment, FTs may need to perform the following:
- Decommissioning of defective hardware – this is to unmount/remove/decommission defective equipment or hardware component in preparation for installation of replacement
- Hardware Acceptance Testing (HAT) – this is to check if the received equipment (and its components) to be used as replacement is working and with complete inventory based on the receiving report from the procurement team
- Replacement of defective hardware – this is to install the intended replacement of the defective equipment or hardware component
- Preventive Maintenance – this is to perform regular physical inspection and cleaning of customer’s existing equipment

Candidates must possess a degree in computer or IT related courses such as but not limited to:
- Computer Systems and Network Technology
- Networking and Telecommunications Technology
