Job Overview:

The Product Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Business Unit Head to ensure product success and alignment with organizational goals. This role involves gathering market insights, assisting in strategy development, and contributing to product lifecycle management. The Product Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, drives internal product promotion, and helps execute strategies to enhance product growth, profitability, and market adoption.

  1. Product Growth and Profitability
  • Create strategies and initiatives to achieve the financial targets of products handled
  • Analyze sales trends and market feedback to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist in optimizing pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Weekly pipeline review with sales and business unit head

2. Product Strategy and Vision

  • Contribute to the development of a clear product vision aligned with company objectives.
  • Assist in identifying market needs and opportunities that shape the product strategy.

3. Roadmap Development

  • Help prioritize product features and updates to create an actionable roadmap.
  • Collaborate with teams to align the roadmap with customer demands and business goals.

4. Requirements Gathering

  • Gather and document product requirements from customers, sales teams, and market research.
  • Translate insights into actionable product features and improvements

5.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate efforts across development, marketing, and sales teams to achieve product objectives.
  • Act as a liaison to ensure smooth communication and alignment across departments.

6. Product Development

  • Assist in managing the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
  • Provide support in testing and refining products to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

7. Monitoring Product Performance Throughout Its Lifecycle:

  • Track key performance metrics and customer feedback.
  • Suggest data-driven enhancements to improve product performance and competitiveness.

8. Internal Product Promotion and Sales Enablement:

  • Develop sales enablement tools, including training materials, presentations, and guides.
  • Communicate product value propositions effectively to internal teams.

9. Formulating Incentive Schemes:

  • Assist in designing incentive programs to drive product adoption and sales.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement reward systems.

10. Market Launch:

  • Support go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Assist in preparing marketing collateral and coordinating launch activities to ensure success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management and market research.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with tools for data analysis and product management is a plus.
